A Modern Redesign
I chose to approach this redesign with a modern take on my selected book. Since The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes came out in 1892, I concluded that it would be enjoyable to update everything ranging from the typefaces to the illustration style. For the text, I chose to use a san-serif font to add to the modernization of the text, which is a slightly bold move for printed literature. The illustration style is limited yet refined and fitting. Using cool shades of blue to create a mysterious tone while also implementing imagery that is heavily based on the text made these illustrations feel united with the interior content.
